Four Suns Ranch 2025 beef season is here!
From our pastures to your table
Our 2025 harvest is complete! Our ranchers, Jared and Jake, have put together four curated boxes, each named after one of the boys, as well as a “surprise me” ranchers’ choice box. Each box is packed with premium cuts from our grass-fed, grass-finished highland cattle.
We’re a true family operation, and Jake and Jared pack every box themselves. Because of that, we operate on a “first come, first served” basis, so choose your box soon!

Frequently asked questions
-
We sell pasture-raised American Highland Beef and KuneKune pork. These homestead heritage breeds are uniquely adept at converting various types of forage into tender, nutrient-dense meat.
-
All of our beef is 100% pasture-raised. During the last sixty days, we supplement with a plant-based grain mixture to finish the beef. Supplementing grain increases marbling and produces a better tasting meat.
-
We ship out our beef via UPS during the first two weeks of December.

On average, you should consume or freeze your product within three days of its arrival. Food stored constantly at 0° F will always be safe; only the quality suffers with lengthy freezer storage. Proper packaging helps maintain quality and will prevent freezer burn. It is not necessary to rinse meat. Freeze unopened vacuum packages as is. If you notice that a package has accidentally been torn or has opened while food is in the freezer, the meat is still safe to eat; simply overwrap or rewrap it.
-
Our beef is vacuum sealed at high altitude in Colorado. During shipping, atmospheric pressure changes cause the packaging to expand naturally. This doesn't mean the seal is broken. As long as the package is intact (no tears), arrives cold, and has no off odor, your beef is perfectly safe and fresh.
-
The safest way to dispose of dry ice is to let it evaporate naturally in a well-ventilated area, like a garage, porch, or yard. Don't handle it with bare hands (use gloves or tongs) and don’t put it in a trash can or any container because of the pressure that gets built up in the evaporation process.
-
Much of the meat you’ll find in a supermarket looks pale, which is due to it being pumped with hormones and antibiotics to cause artificial, rapid growth.
Our beef has darker color because our animals are given time and space to work and develop their muscles, which leads to richer flavor!
-
Our goal is to make sure you enjoy our meat as much as we do, and we always do right by our customers.

To keep our meat cold for transport, we use a 100% recyclable and compostable insulating material. This packaging technology allows us to protect temperature-sensitive shipments for up to 80 hours while significantly reducing packaging waste.
It was important for us to echo the sustainable and regenerative practices we adhere to all the way through to the packaging experience.

Yes! 100%! As long as the meat is partially frozen or refrigerator-cold, you can refreeze it. USDA guidelines state: “If food is still partly frozen, still has ice crystals, or is as cold as if it were in a refrigerator (40 °F), it is safe to refreeze or use.”
